Emergency Medical Technology AAS

Students will conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history taking, physical assessments, and vital sign monitoring, to guide emergency care decisions.

Students will apply appropriate EMT-level interventions and treatment protocols for medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies in prehospital settings.

Students will demonstrate correct use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of essential emergency medical equipment and supplies in accordance with safety standards.

Students will document and relay patient information clearly and accurately to team members, healthcare professionals, and receiving facilities.

Students will act in accordance with legal scope of practice, patient confidentiality, and ethical guidelines while maintaining professional conduct in diverse emergency situations.
