Vocal Technique & Solo Performance Practice

Students will perform solo and ensemble vocal repertoire with appropriate tone quality, diction, breath control, pitch accuracy, and stylistic interpretation.

Music Theory & Aural Musicianship

Students will analyze music using fundamental theory and demonstrate aural skills through sight-singing, interval recognition, rhythmic accuracy, and harmonic dictation.

Vocal Literature & Linguistic Competency

Students will interpret and perform vocal literature representing diverse genres, periods, and cultures, including works in foreign languages.

Choral & Small Ensemble Collaboration

Students will demonstrate effective rehearsal techniques, vocal blending, and ensemble responsiveness as members of choral or small vocal groups.

Transfer & Professional Preparation

Students will build a portfolio of performance experience and foundational knowledge suitable for transfer to a four-year vocal music program or related career pathways.
