Court Reporting, AAS

Students will accurately transcribe spoken language using stenographic machines or voice writing technology at industry-required speeds and accuracy levels.

Students will produce real-time captions and transcripts for legal proceedings, broadcast media, and other professional settings, ensuring clarity and precision.

Students will recognize and correctly transcribe specialized legal, medical, and technical vocabulary commonly used in court and other professional environments.

Students will review and edit transcripts to ensure they are error-free, properly formatted, and meet professional standards.

Students will adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements essential to the court reporting profession.
